All our figurines are made from solid Fine Pewter and are lead free and food safe; they will never need polishing, but if you do wish to clean them, use warm water and detergent, then rince and dry with a soft cloth. Everything made by us is guaranteed for life, will not give you an allergic reaction and our animals are even house trained.
Hares have long been associated with the moon because they are nocternal and very fertile. Thus the moon gazing hare represents rejuvination and fertility. She was also one of aphrodite's messengers which is why images of cupid are often accompanied by hares.
Nowadays hares are also considered symbols of luck and from year to year continue to be one of England's best loved wild animals.
Our hare is small enough to put in your pocket, but mine sits on my desk for when I am lacking inspiration. Pewter is very tactile and has a lovely weight to it. This hare is approximately 3.3 cm (1.3") high and comes in a smart William Sturt gift box with certificate of authenticity. Postage, as ever, is our gift to you.
